Savage indeed.
Savage indeed. Valve

Dota Underlords released an update that can be described as rather savage. In particular, the update makes some interesting changes to the Savage Alliance. The update also includes changes for some heroes, along with general fixes.

Let's start with Alliance. In Dota Underlords, an alliance is a group of units that, when used at the same time, give a bonus. Heroes in the Savage alliance include Tusk, Magnus, Bristleback, Lycan, Lone Druid, and Sand King. In the past, getting two, four, and six of these characters on the board have Allied Savage units additional attack damage.

However, with the new update, the bonus now applies to:

  • Two Savage Units on the board
    • Bonus applies to: All allied Savage units
    • Bonus Attack Damage per Attack: 5
  • Four Savage Units on the board
    • Bonus applies to: All allied Savage units and all allied summons of any alliance
    • Bonus Attack Damage per Attack: 7
  • Six Savage Units on the board
    • Bonus applies to: All allied units
    • Bonus Attack Damage per Attack: 10

Two other alliances also underwent changes. The first is the Spirit Alliance. In this update, units under this alliance no longer gain any mana from the damage they deal during a Delta Slam. For the Vigilant Alliance, the change is that whenever an enemy unit casts a spell and is targeted by the Vigilant alliance, the first attack from each unit does 50% more damage.

Meanwhile, hero changes include:

  • Bloodseeker
    • Bloodrage
      • As Bloodseeker's enemy's health drops, he gains attack speed, up to a maximum of 500 at [25, 30, 35]% health.
      • Whenever Bloodseeker kills a target, he regains 35% of their max health.
  • Broodmother
    • Spawn Spiderlings
      • Broodmother now prefers to cast Spawn Spiderlings on her current target.
  • Dragon Knight
    • Breathe Fire
      • Cooldown lowered from [10, 8, 6] to [7, 6, 5]
      • Duration lowered from 6 to 4
      • Mana Cost reduced from 100 to 50
  • Earth Spirit
    • Geomagnetic Grip
      • Can now be cast even if the target is magic immune.
  • Lich
    • Chain Frost
      • Bounces increased from [6, 9, 12] to [7, 10, 13]
      • Bounce Range increased from 2 to 3
  • Lone Druid's Spirit Bear
    • No longer damages opponent at end of round.
    • Entangle
      • No longer stuns.
      • Instead, roots and disarms
