Evil Geniuses continued its dominance of the Dota 2 World Pro Invitational Singapore. The team trounced Gambit Esports 2-0 to secure a spot in the Grand Finals. Meanwhile, the Lower Bracket saw two teams get eliminated.

Upper Bracket Finals

In the Upper Bracket Finals, it was EG going against Gambit. To say that EG dominated the match would be an understatement. In the first game, Kiyalbek "dream`" Tayirov and Danil "gpk" Skutin were the only members of Gambit who managed to get kills. On the EG side, Abed "Abed" Yusop had no deaths.

The second game was pretty much the same. Abed had another strong performance on Shadow Fiend with 10 kills and no deaths. This performance came despite being matched against gpk, who was on Ember Spirit, one of his signature heroes.

Lower Bracket

In the first match, it was Virtus.pro versus Natus Vincere. During the first game, Na'Vi was not able to find a way to counter Vladimir "No[o]ne" Minenko on Viper. Coupled with Egor "epileptick1d" Grigorenko on Gyrocopter, VP secured the win. In the second game, No[o]ne and epileptick1d again had excellent performances getting the win and eliminating Na'Vi from the tournament.

In the TNC versus Vici Gaming match, VG initially had the lead. However, TNC managed to turn the first game around at roughly the 40-minute mark and never looked back. VG later called GG. In the second game, VG managed to take the lead on the performance of Zhang "Eurus" Chengjun, previously known as "Paparazi灬". Helped by Zeng "Ori" Jiaoyang on Timbersaw, VG took the victory. This resulted in a game three where VG continued its momentum. With that, TNC got eliminated from the tournament.

Upcoming Matches

The next day of the Playoffs are going to have three matches. The first is set for December 20 at 10:00 p.m. EST with Alliance facing off against Virtus.pro. The second match is Team Secret versus VG. The third match will be the winner of the previous two matches going against each other.

So what about you? Which Dota 2 team do you think is going to make it to the Grand Finals against EG?
