The matches are about to get more intense as the Europe Immortal Division of the Dota 2 OMEGA League enters the Upper Bracket Finals. The two teams fighting it out are the quite possibly the region’s top teams. It’s none other than Team Secret going against OG.
The two teams in the Upper Bracket Finals are interesting considering that they both come from Group B. Team Secret enters the match with only one loss out of a total of 11 games played in the Group Stage. In the initial matches of the Upper Bracket, Secret dominated Evil Geniuses. Secret managed to beat EG in around 30 minutes for both games.
Meanwhile, OG had a strong start, but eventually fell to Secret and Team Liquid in the closing days of the Group Stage. However, that ensured a spot in the Upper Bracket where OG had to go against Team Nigma. OG dominated in the first game, limiting Nigma to just 12 team kills against 44 of their own. Nigma tried their best to get the win in the second game, but it wasn’t enough as OG ended with a 2-0 win.
It will be interesting to see if OG can find an answer to Secret and their drafts.
In the lower bracket, Nigma is facing off against Liquid. For those following the Dota 2 scene, the roster of Nigma were formerly members of Liquid. That should be interesting to watch. The other match in the lower bracket is EG versus Alliance. This is EG’s first official match in the EU region. For Alliance, beating EG would cement its place in the region.
The winner of each match will face each other in the next round while the losers get eliminated.
Other Divisions
In the Europe Divine Division, 5men has secured a spot in the Grand Finals. They’re going to go against whoever wins in the Lower Bracket Finals. It hasn’t been decided yet, but it’s FlyToMoon versus the winner of the Cyber Legacy and Ninjas in Pyjamas match.
Over in the Americas Divine Division, the Grand Finals are set and it’s Quincy Crew going against 4 Zoomers. The Americas Ancient Division meanwhile has business associates versus xixihaha.
