Fans of Doraemon have something to be happy about. Bandai Namco has confirmed that Doraemon Story of Seasons: Friends of the Great Kingdom is coming out this year to PC through Steam, PlayStation 5, and Nintendo Switch.

The game brings back the beloved Doraemon in a new, original, and heartwarming story. Players are tasked with guiding Doraemon and his friends as they set up a farm on an unknown planet. It’s pretty much a casual farm simulation game, set against a picturesque landscape that offers realistic natural elements like wind, light, and seasons.

The Story

What exactly happened? The friends are brought to an unknown planet through a strange confluence of circumstances. Then, they meet a boy named Limus, who agreed to let them live with him and work on his farm.

Solo or Co-op

The game can be played as a single-player experience or team up with a friend in an offline “couch” co-op to build their farms and enjoy activities together like harvesting crops, tending to animals, or fishing.

The Gadgets

There’s also new gameplay with Doraemon’s Gadgets, which have unique tools like the “Mini Raincloud,” which can water crops, and “Farm Restaurant,” which can harvest crops and create a wonderful meal.

Players can combine skills like having “Hopters” and “Extra Hold Cloud Spray” to visit farms above the clouds. Players can also use “Adapting Ray” to dive and farm pearls.

Just remember that the more secret gadgets used, the more enjoyable the farm life is.

In a statement, Bandai Namco Producer Koji Nakajima revealed that the game builds on the traits that set this series apart from the others. He added that it’s a relaxing and well-paced farm simulation game, which features beloved characters, compelling storytelling, and a visually beautiful fantasy world. Doraemon Story of Seasons: Friends of the Great Kingdom brings on a journey with Doraemon, Noby, and other lovable characters as they experience farm life on another planet.

What do you think, Doraemon fans? Is this a good game or what?
