The rumors were right. The final expansion of Doom Eternal, The Ancient Gods Part 2, will release tomorrow. You don’t have to wait for months or weeks anymore, just for 24 hours. The developer of the game, ID Software, revealed the trailer that showed off what many fans were waiting for. You can watch the trailer below.

The Sentinel Hammer

The Ancient Gods Part 2 will take us to different places, let us use a new weapon, and will allow us to fight cool enemies. The new weapon is The Sentinel Hammer and said to be the latest addition to the Doom chessboard. When used, the Hammer will kill all fodder enemies and stun major enemies in the affected radius. It is also a great weapon to stun the infamous Marauder. Combine the Hammer with Flame Belch or the Ice Bomb for easy Armor and Health pickups.

New Enemies

The Ancient Gods Part 2, just like Part 1, is getting some new demons including different variants of existing demons. In a post, the final chapter of Doom Eternal will result in a fight against the Armored Baron, Stone Imp, Cursed Prowler, and The Screecher. Be careful with that last demon, killing a Screecher will buff every other demon nearby. So, I would recommend that you save him for last.

What’s Next?

The developers are calling Part 2 the conclusion of Doom Slayer’s journey. So we are not exactly sure whether we will ever get Doom 3 or any other sequel. I personally would love to see a prequel of Doom or an actual remaster of Doom (1993) and Doom II (1994) with ID Tech 7.

As mentioned above, the expansion pack will go live tomorrow on all platforms, except Nintendo Switch. The reveal date was kinda expected as it was previously leaked.

So what do you think? Are you excited about Doom Eternal: The Ancient God Part 2? Will you replay the base game and the Part 1 expansion pack? Or will you go right into Part 2? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
