Non-linear first-person survival action adventure game Die Young is now officially available on Steam. Developed by IndieGala, the game has left early access after two years of development. Die Young offers around 70 missions with almost 12 square kilometers to explore.
In the game you play a young woman who has awakened on a 12-square kilometer island in the Mediterranean. You have been buried alive and left for dead. Starving as well as dehydrated, your struggle to stay alive is just beginning. You need to take advantage of your parkour and athletic skills in order to survive the dangers of the island.
Here are the things you need to keep in mind when playing the game:
- Stay Alive
- This is not your classic survival game. If all you're planning is to spend your days looking for resources or building shelter, that's not a good option here. The goal is to make sure you stay alive. Which means that you need to find a way to escape. With the hot Mediterranean summer sun on your back, you need to keep hydrated and find a way to leave the island.
- Equip and Fight
- Since you have been stripped of everything, you need to make a run for it. While you need to keep your wits about, you shouldn't solely rely on them. If you want to survive this nightmare you have to look for items and combat equipment.
- Explore
- Get to explore the island and learn more about the inhabitants, ancient ruins, and dark caves. You need to uncover the awful truth behind this rather quiet life on the island.
- Escape
- The island offers a lot in terms of the beauty of its natural landscape. However, hiding in the corners are deadly threats and foes. Fighting is hopeless. Just run, jump, climb, and leave all those behind.
