NIS America debuts a new trailer for Destiny Connect: Tick-Tock Travelers. Nippon Ichi Software

A new trailer for upcoming RPG Destiny Connect: Tick Tock Travelers has just been released. The one-minute clip entitled “A Guide to Odd Times” is uploaded on publisher NIS America’s YouTube channel.

Initially announced by Nippon Ichi Software in November of last year, Destiny Connect: Tick Tock Travelers tells the story of Sherry, a girl who lives in the suburban town of Clocknee; a town shrouded in a colorful ancient history. The plot is moved forward when Sherry attended the fireworks show at the “Soulman Fes” New Year festival with her mother. The moment the New Year actually arrived, the townspeople of Clocknee inexplicably stopped moving all at once. Strange machines then started moving in place of the frozen humans. In order to find out what the cause of the anomaly is, Sherri must set off on a trip with a time travel mecha named Isaac and her friend Pegreo to a Clocknee from the past.

The time-traveling and role-playing game mix looks like it will be a narrative driven title. Destiny Connect: Tick Tock Travelers will have you, Sherry, working with your allies (Isaac, Pegreo, and two more characters seen in the trailer that haven't been introduced yet) to travel to a Clocknee from 30 years before.

Usual RPG elements such as learning new skills and upgrading your team (HP recovery, powerful attacks, etc.), item usage, and customization are all included. We’ve already seen snippets of these in the trailers, like customizing Isaac’s outfits or assuming different forms such as “Outlaw”, “Rescue”, and “Guardian”. Faithful to its time traveling theme, Destiny Connect: Tick Tock Travelers has a mechanic where your decisions made in-game in the past Clocknee (which is technically your present) shapes and shifts the town right before your eyes.

Destiny Connect: Tick Tock Travelers will be traveling soon on the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch. The role-playing game is scheduled for an October 22 release in North America and October 25 in Europe. It’s also one of the playable titles announced by Nippon Ichi Software for their appearance for this year’s PAX West.
