Newly discovered files suggest more of Destiny 1’s content is headed to Destiny 2 in 2018. There’s been no word from Bungie on the rumored return of Crimson Days. But fans’ latest discoveries leave little doubt that a Valentine’s Day event is coming to Destiny 2 next month.

Redditor Ginsor published evidence pointing to the Crimson Days revival in the Destiny 2 subreddit on Tuesday morning. Discoveries include NPC scripts that refer to the event by name and instruct Guardians to speak with Tess Everis to receive a special Crimson Days engram. But it sounds like Bungie has slightly more ambitious plans for the next iteration of its Valentine’s Day event, including raid and PvP integration. Ginsor published alleged scripts for Crimson Days-related dialogue that mention Lord Shaxx and the Crucible several times.

None of the discovered dialogue specifically mentions a raid event; however, the redditor notes that artwork discovered while mining does suggest Crimson Days will have a Leviathan tie-in. It’s also worth noting that early concept art for Destiny 2 is part of how the community managed to uncover several facts about the game’s first raid locale before it was accessible in-game. The uncovered text from this week’s data mine also suggests a new 2v2 playlist, called Crimson Doubles, is headed to the Crucible in the near future. Additional details are currently unavailable.

Current evidence points to Crimson Days including many of the same kinds of rewards distributed during previous Destiny 2 events. Bungie is expected to release new emotes, ghost shells, shaders, sparrows and a new assortment of weapon mods and ornaments. Sweet Business and Prometheus Lens are among the firearms expected to get new, Valentine’s-themed looks. And given how quickly these sorts of leaks tend to be followed by official announcements, it’s probably safe to assume we’ll see Bungie’s full Crimson Days reveal sometime in the next week or so.

Destiny 2: Curse of Osiris is available for PS4, Xbox One and PC.
