PC Game Pass has been a godsend for players. You can play thousands of games for a very cheap price. One game I never thought I would see on the Pass is Death Stranding. Hideo Kojima’s post-apocalyptic game is owned by Microsoft’s competitor, Sony.

Twitter Activity

Recent activity on Twitter suggests that the impossible might come true after all. A few days ago, the official Twitter page of PC Game Pass changed its profile picture to a green terrain. It also tweeted that sometimes they like a good landscape picture.

Further Evidence

Many fans started speculating that this is a hint of Death Stranding addition to the Pass. However, we were still doubtful. Soon, that doubt vanished when a Twitter user, @naven0m, posted two screenshots from the game that match the new profile pic almost perfectly.

While not an outright confirmation, this is still a very good piece of evidence that DS might be coming to the Pass. Perhaps Microsoft is just trolling us, but that seems highly unlikely.

Speculation

If the game is coming, the gaming scene is going into uncharted territory. A Sony-owned IP on a Microsoft-owned service is a fool's dream. It could be that Kojima convinced Sony to release the game in the Pass. The Japanese video game creator has good relations with both companies. Or maybe Microsoft offered Sony too good of a deal to say no.

Even if DS comes to PC Game Pass, it still won’t be available on Xbox consoles. It means PlayStation will maintain console exclusivity on the title. Death Stranding is a niche game, and the Pass could help it become more mainstream.

Other News

In other news, Kojima is also teasing a new video game release on Twitter. We could see more about the new game during Gamescom 2022, which will take place next week. Check out our previous article for more information.
