Deadside Update 0.3.0: Improves Particle Effects, Reworks Base Building, and Adds Workbench

Deadside
Deadside Steam

Deadside recently received an update that added new features, changes, and bug fixes.

Redesigned Base Building

This update introduced a brand new interface and new mechanics for base building. This was made to make construction faster and more comfortable, especially if you have teammates helping you.

The key changes for base building are as listed:

  • Open up the new radial base module menu by pressing B or whatever hotkey you’ve set, and then select the module by pressing the left mouse button.
  • During the installation of a base module, the interface displays the tools and resources required for completing the building.
  • The character no longer has to stay at the construction site to progress.
  • If you lack materials, you can add them gradually as the construction progresses.
  • If you change your mind and want to cancel construction or just disassemble it, the game will refund 50% of the resources spent.

Workbench and Steam Inventory

This update also introduced a workbench, a new base module where players can apply camouflage to clothes. You will also receive two test skins when you log in, which are:

  • Set of skins "City" for all players.
  • Set of skins "Vortex" for owners of the Supporter Pack.

Improved Particle Effects

The game is getting more realistic with the improved particle effects added in this update. Now, more dust, sparks, and blood will be visible from bullets. There's also the more noticeable point of impact of bullets.
