Another patch for Dead by Daylight is now available on the Public Test Build (PTB). Patch 5.4.0 introduces a new killer and survivor, as well as a new map. The loadout and customization menus have also been improved, making it easier for you to navigate your way through.
New Content
The latest Killer added to the roster is Carmina Mora, also known as “The Artist.” She is a ranged Killer that can launch her Dire Crows to search and attack Survivors they come across. Her abilities include the Grim Embrace, Scourge Hook: Pain Resonance, and Hex: Pentimento.
A person who uses his expertise in mathematics and logic to help the team, Jonah Vasquez will be joining the Survivors in Patch 5.4.0. He has some pretty good personal perks, including Overcome, Corrective Action, and Boon: Exponential.
There are other notable additions to this beta update. First is that page markers are now available on the loadout and customization menus. This not only helps you know which page you are currently on, but it also helps you go to a specific page directly without a hitch.
For those unable to clearly hear what anyone is saying, enable the new option to see subtitles on the heads-up display (HUD). This option can be enabled in the settings.

- Iridescent Lament Configuration: Increased range to 24 meters (was 16 meters)
- Fixed the broken Game Manual tab on the Tutorial screen
- Fixed an issue that allowed survivors to consume other survivor's Clairvoyance perk
- Fixed an issue that caused Boon Totem vignettes to disappear when moving between overlapping Boon ranges
- Fixed an issue that may cause the Boon Totem vignette to linger when the survivor who applied a Boon leaves the match
- Fixed an issue that may cause survivors to be attacked by the Chain Hunt while they are solving the lament configuration
- Fixed an issue where players could unlock achievements when playing on the PTB environment
