Dead by Daylight received a new update recently that removes Anonymous Mode on most platforms.

Anonymous Mode is part of the streamer options introduced in a previous update. This feature replaces your account name with your selected character name. While other players cannot see your real account name, the people in your group can. Anonymous Mode was added to help reduce harassment, especially when streaming the game.

That said, the newly released Patch 6.2.2 removes this particular feature from most platforms, including PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and the Windows Store and Stadia builds of Dead by Daylight. It seems that Anonymous Mode is still available on the Steam version of the game though.

According to Behaviour Interactive, the feature accidentally slipped into the build due to a data deployment issue and was never intended to be released on the aforementioned platforms. The removal of Anonymous Mode is to ensure that you’ll still be able to use some platform-level features, such as the ability to block or report players.

Although you can still report players harassing you no matter what platform you play Dead by Daylight on, you will no longer be required to input the offending player’s name or ID in the support form. This information is automatically indicated on the report that you submitted.

Anyway, Patch 6.2.2 also brings other changes and bug fixes. Here are some of them:
