A pair of new Dark Souls 3 trailers are out this week, less than two weeks before the game is scheduled to hit North American retailers, and the latest promotional clips for the game are much different than anything we’ve previously seen for Dark Souls 3.

Both of the game’s new novelty trailers debuted on Wednesday afternoon. The first, uploaded to Bandai Namco Entertainment America’s YouTube channel, was an animated short created by famed director Eli Roth. The new Dark Souls 3 trailer introduces players to the Witches, a small group of seemingly evil spellcasters that will presumably appear in the game. Unsurprisingly, given who directed the short, the animated Dark Souls 3 trailer has attracted quite a bit of attention.

That said, we may actually be bigger fans of the second Dark Souls 3 trailer to emerge this week: a 64-second promotional video cut to look like the trailer for an 80’s horror flick. There’s even are even alternate logos for Dark Souls 3 and the game’s publisher, Bandai Namco. Unfortunately, neither of this week’s trailers include any new information about the game; however, they’re both recommended viewing for any serious Dark Souls fan.

If you haven’t already, take a few minutes to watch both of the new Dark Souls 3 trailers. Then head down to the comments section and let us know whether or not you’d like to see more studios create these sorts of promotional videos for their upcoming games.

Dark Souls 3 is in development for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC. The upcoming action-RPG will make its North American debut on April 12.
