Crossfire: Legion is finally coming out of Early Access, officially launching on December 8. It’s going to offer a full suite of gameplay modes along with new features, new units, and even new commanders. Players can also look forward to the final act of the campaign.

As if that’s not enough, there’s also a “Free Weekend” from December 8 to December 11 to let those interested try the game before deciding to buy the title.

Accepting Feedback

Crossfire: Legion entered Early Access this May and has grown huge since then. For the development team, the Early Access period was valuable as it allowed them to work with RTS communities.

One improvement done, thanks to community feedback, was for the meta-progression system originally implemented, where it involved players using soft currency to unlock units and commanders, which was found confusing. In addition, players revealed that it might introduce micro-transactions for gameplay-affecting items. The system also broke what can be termed as the immediacy of the classic RTS experience where the entire army toolbox is accessible from the start. Because of these reasons, this system was removed.
