The year-long saga of RuneScape’s Elder God Wars continues with the arrival of its first-ever skilling boss fight Croesus Front. This is the third dungeon to be released after Nodon Front and Glacor Front.

There’s no question that after taking on the army of Nodon dragonkin and the Arch-Glacor, players have more than proved their mettle when it comes to fighting. This new one though offers a different challenge. Hiding in the graveyard of the Senntisten, there’s a creature that seems too powerful to engage in traditional combat. It’s none other than Croesus, a sentient fungus that existed for thousands of years. Left unchecked, it can consume everything in Senntisten.

Just in case you didn’t get that, players won’t be using any of their combat skills to defeat Croesus. Instead, they’ll be using mining, fishing, hunting, and woodcutting skills. While this means players can’t die when they engage this boss, they can lose if not enough damage is dealt during battle. Players can take on Croesus in a group of as many as 50 skillers.

Although there is no skill requirement to go against this new boss, it’s recommended that players have at least level 80 of those non-combat skills.

Players able to beat this botanical beast get to unlock:

  • Tier 90 magic tank armor
  • Boss pet
  • Seed bag
  • Rune Pouch upgrade
  • Bik God Book

There are also two new skilling off-hands up for grabs. The first is Tagga’s Core Hammer, which is a level 80 Mining off-hand that speeds up the process of mining minerals when equipped. The second one is Sana’s Frytorch used for Woodcutting.

What do you think? Can you take on this new boss?
