A new update is now live for Conan Exiles. This is the third one released in the current Age of War season. For the first time in the game, you now have the chance to besiege a fully destructible fortress and maybe even take on the leader of an invading empire.
The Siege of Al-Merayah
With this new update, PvE players finally get to know what it feels like to raze what enemies built to the ground. Stygia has consolidated all their might into a fully destructible fortress that's located atop the ruins of al-Merayah. The commander of the Stygian invasion himself is awaiting at the top chamber of the central keep, surrounded by all of his ill-gotten riches.
Batter Up!
To make the siege a bit easy, you can try different methods like explosives, trebuchets, or even climbing, to name a few. However, a good strategy would be the use of a Battering Ram. Indeed, this is a good way not only to infiltrate the base but also fight against the Stygian army and their Commander.
You can find the Battering Ram inside of the Stygian al-Merayah base. It's also available in Isscar's store, though you'll need to free him first from the Purge and hire from the Barkeeper.
Once the commander has been defeated and all players have left the immediate proximity of the base, the entire structure and encounters reset which means it's possible to play the experience again.
Open a Tavern
The new update now lets you bring a bit of life into your base with the addition of a Tavern. That's right! You can now open a Tavern and have people from around the Exiled Lands drop by for a visit. In fact, for the right price they may even follow you. The barkeep always has their ear to the ground and knows how to reach people.
Battle Pass
A new update means a new Battle Pass and new cosmetics in the Bazaar. These include new cosmetic building pieces, decorations, pets, armors, weapons, emotes, and emblems, to name a few. You can also get your hands on the expanded Aesir building set and even make sure that your Tavern is unique through the new Vanir and Yamatai-themed decorations.
Conan Exiles is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
