Developer Flux Games and publisher GameMill Entertainment have announced a sequel to Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues, the sleeper video game adaptation of the hit Cobra Kai series. Titled Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising, the sequel will launch on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam sometime this fall.

There’s not much else in the way of trailers or gameplay footage, but GameMill did share the first bits of information for Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising.

The Cobra Kai saga continues with Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising. Eagle Fang, Cobra Kai, Miyagi-Do—which is your dojo? That choice begins your journey, but then it’s up to you to recruit the most powerful team as you master your fighting style and battle to solidify your dojo’s legacy as the All Valley Karate Grand Champion!

The game is now up for pre-orders via its official site, but no concrete release date has been given yet. As for how it plays against Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues, Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising will also feature a Story Mode. This time around, however, players can choose between three dojos instead of two: Miyagi-Do, Cobra Kai, and newcomer Eagle Fang. A new mode called Cobra Classics will also allow players to relive their favorite epic moments from the Cobra Kai show.

Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising will feature 28 playable characters, a huge upgrade compared to the eight characters in Cobra Kai: The Karate Kid Saga Continues. However, there’s no confirmation yet if the original voices of the cast will return to provide their VA chops once again, although given that Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising is under the same developer and publisher, it’s highly likely. Like the first game, players will be able to progress through Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising in an RPG-like fashion, collecting chi and coins to power up the various members of their dojo.

The game will also feature an upgraded online experience via the Online VS. Tournament mode. Players from across the world can compete in the All Valley Tournament to secure their legacy as the ultimate champion in Cobra Kai 2: Dojos Rising.
