Capcom announced that the Pro Tour Online 2020 is going to have a new schedule along with format changes. This, according to a post by Capcom, was made in answer to the travel restrictions and social distancing guidelines due to the novel coronavirus pandemic.

Like with many other tournaments this year, Capcom has cancelled all remaining live matches. This also includes the ranking events along with the World Warrior events.

The Pro Tour Online 2020 is now going to have 18 online regional tournaments, which will kick off on June 6. The winners from each of these tournaments will automatically qualify for the Capcom Cup 2020. That’s not all as the Capcom Cup 2019 champion also gets a spot in the Capcom Cup 2020. The final slot will then be awarded to one of the 31 finalist of the Capcom Cup 2019 through a community vote. That means there are three ways for players to enter the Capcom Cup 2020.
