Call Of Duty: Black Ops 4 Operation Apocalypse Z Launches Next Week

Call of Duty: Black Ops 4 is launching its latest event, Operation Apocalypse Z, on July 9. This is in addition to the upcoming Alpa Omega story. There is also some newly-upgraded hardware courtesy of Broken Arrow.

As the date of the new operation draws near, Black Ops 4 is also bringing back two fan-favorite playlists. The first is Hardcore Duos in Blackout, and the second is Bolt-Action Barebones for Multiplayer. Alcatraz also makes a comeback in Blackout, but with Operation Apocalypse Z coming, offers a rather dark twist.

That's not all, as Black Ops 4 has released an update to all platforms:

    • Special Event
      • “Fourth of July” event now live in the Contraband stream on all platforms.
      • New Ultra Weapon Bribe earnable at the 15th Tier, which will reward players with a new ranged Black Market weapon and two Reserve Cases. If the player already owns a variant of all Black Market weapons, they will be awarded an additional weapon variant.
    • Duplicate-Protected Crates
      • Duplicate-Protected Crates now available for trade-in at the Reserves tab in the Black market.
      • Players can now trade in six Reserve Cases for a new Crate containing three duplicate-protected Reserve items.
  • Death Effects
    • “Numbers” Death Effect now rewarded in all modes for completing at least one Outfit Mission in Blackout.

    • Hardcore
      • Hardcore Duos playlist now live on all platforms.
      • Disabled EMP Disruptor in Hardcore playlists.
    • Hot Pursuit
      • Added a fifth Collapse to Hot Pursuit.

    • Addressed an issue that prevented the last squad member to die from seeing their Merit report.
