"The Boys" series from Amazon Prime Video is on track for its fifth and final season, but there is more good news for fans as there is a video game adaptation also coming soon.
'The Boys' Video Game Confirmed for PS5, Meta Quest
VR game developing company ARVORE shared a new trailer for "The Boys: Trigger Warning," making it the first video game adaptation of the famed Dynamite Entertainment comic and Amazon Prime Video show.
In the trailer, it still shows the dark satire established by both the comics and series, with the supposed superheroes out protecting and saving the world but are the ones causing the injustices.
This new VR game, based on the hit franchise, lets players step into the first-person point-of-view of a new character who sees the cruelty and dark side of the beloved heroes in the franchise.
Here, not only would the newcomer fight against the crooked heroes, but also against the corporation that created and controls them, Vought International.
ARVORE's "The Boys: Trigger Warning" is coming to two virtual reality platforms based on this latest announcement, which include the PlayStation VR2 (PSVR 2) and the Meta Quest platforms.
Sony Pictures Virtual Reality (SPVR) is the listed publisher of the game, with ARVORE revealing that fans and players may now Wishlist the game via the PlayStation Store and pre-order via the Meta Store for the Quest platform.
"The Boys: Trigger Warning" will cost $23.99, and the Meta Store reveals that the game's release date is sometime during spring 2026.
VR 'The Boys' Game Brings the Chaos Fans Loved
Based on the trailer, the upcoming VR game set in the world of "The Boys" will deliver the same chaos and violent experiences fans have known from the comic books and series adaptation. Additionally, cast members from Amazon Prime Video's series adaptation are reprising their roles for this game but were not specifically named in the listings.
The players will play as "Lucas," a new character who The Boys "drag back from the brink" by "juicing" him with powers to use him as a tool in their fight against Vought and their Supes.
The newcomer will join "The Boys" and fight alongside Billy Butcher, Mother's Milk (MM), and Kimiko, three of the original cast of the anti-superhero
group. The story's plot has not yet been revealed by the developers, only that the protagonist, alongside the supporting characters, will look into Vought's secrets and survive against the unstable Supes.
