There’s Still Time to Join the Borderlands 3 Broken Hearts Day

Valentine’s Day may be over but at Borderlands 3, the Broken Hearts Day is still running. This seasonal in-game event is expected to end until February 25. That means there’s more than enough time to join and get those rewards.

Who Needs Love?

During the event, players are likely to see all across Borderlands lovesick enemies with some mysterious floating hearts swirling above them. This has resulted in Maurice asking for your help in learning more about the courting rituals of humans. The objective is simple: players need to do is break any hearts they see by shooting at them.

There’s a twist to all of this. Not all hearts are the same and they have different ways of breaking. Some hearts, for example, can fall to the ground and explode. Others drop loot or even regenerate health. Keep watch for rare hearts that spawn groups of ghosts from the Bloody Harvest.

Still, Maurice count’s them all as the same regardless of how they break. He’ll be the one to keep track of how many you’ve broken and then mail you rewards. These include:

  • 10 – "ECHOcardiogram" ECHO Skin
  • 25 – "Cosmic Romance" Weapon Trinket
  • 50 – "Terminal Polyaimorous" Legendary Maliwan SMG
  • 75 – "Heartbreaker" Vault Hunter Skin
  • 100 – "Wedding Invitation" Legendary Jakobs Sniper Rifle

The ECHO skin, Weapon Trinket, and Vault Hunter Skin also include recolored versions as cosmetic rewards for this year's Broken Hearts Day seasonal event. Plus, the event is bringing back Legendary guys, obtainable at level 65.
