Borderlands: The Handsome Collection Is Epic Games Store's Free Game This Week

The next free game at the Epic Games Store is now available. The EGS is giving away Borderlands: The Handsome Collection to everyone for free. You can claim the game by clicking on the Claim button on The Handsome Collection's page. However, do keep in mind that you need to verify your Epic account if you want Borderlands or any other free games.

The Handsome Collection contains two of the best Borderlands game. You can play Borderlands: The Pre-Sequel and Borderlands 2 for free, along with all the DLC and expansion packs. Looks like your weekend plans are all sorted out now.

This week’s free game doesn’t come as a surprise. There have been several leaks that revealed the Handsome Collection as the next free game. In fact, a few weeks ago, the leaks revealed four free games. The free games were GTA 5, Civilization VI, Borderlands The Handsome Collection, and Ark Survival Evolved.

So far, the rumors about three of these games have been correct. So it’s all but confirmed that next week's free game is going to be Ark: Survival Evolved. Ark is currently available on Steam for only $40. The game was released back in 2017, after being in Early Access for two years.

Even today, developer Studio Wildcard continues to support Ark. The reviews from the community and the critics have been positive as well. Additionally, the player base is quite respectable, as this month the game had around 60,000 average players on Steam alone. We can expect this number to grow even more after the Epic Store gives it away for free.
