It’s been quite the day for Nintendo Switch rumors. The latest involves Beyond Good And Evil 2, which apparently has been in development under the codename Odyssey.

According to insider Laura Dale, Beyond Good And Evil 2 will be an exclusive to the Nintendo Switch for 12 months. There will be both physical and digital versions of the game offered for the Switch as well. After the exclusivity period, the game will be released digitally for PS4 and Xbox One. It doesn’t seem there will be physical versions of Beyond Good And Evil 2 for the Xbox One or PS4.

Interestingly enough, this lines up with previous rumors we’ve heard about the game. It was leaked that Nintendo is working with Ubisoft on development. This would make the year-long Switch exclusivity more understandable.

This wouldn’t be the first time we’ve seen a console company chip in money for game development to get exclusivity. Most recently, Microsoft helped fund the development of Rise of the Tomb Raider, which saw a year of exclusivity on Xbox One. Heck, even Nintendo helped fund Bayonetta 2 to get an exclusive for the Wii U.

While this information hasn’t been confirmed by Nintendo or Ubisoft, it does come from a reliable source. That said, plans can change, so wait until there’s a formal announcement made from one of the companies before getting too excited.

So what do you think? Are you interested in seeing Beyond Good And Evil 2 on the Nintendo Switch? Will you wait until the PS4 and Xbox One release? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
