Batman: Arkham Trilogy is coming out this fall on Nintendo Switch. This compilation puts together Batman: Arkham Asylum, Batman: Arkham City, and Batman: Arkham Knight in one iconic package. In addition to the main games, all previously released DLCs from these three titles are included.

While each of the games were developed by Rocksteady Studios, it's Turn Me Up Games that worked on the version for Nintendo Switch.

Where it All Started

Batman: Arkham Asylum was released in 2009 and responsible for setting up the "Arkhamverse" that a lot of fans know and love today. It took players to the infamous Arkham Asylum where they are introduced to an atmospheric, dark, and unique adventure. The game offered an original story where they get to move in the shadows as Batman and do what they can to instill fear in their enemies. They also get to confront Joker and the most notorious villains of Gotham City who have taken over the asylum, like Harley Quinn, Poison Ivy, Bane, Killer Croc, and Scarecrow.

The Follow-up

Building on the intense and atmospheric foundation of the first title, Rocksteady followed it up in 2011 with Batman: Arkham City. This time, the setting is the expansive Arkham City, the maximum security "home" for thugs, gangsters, and insane criminal masterminds of Gotham City.

The game featured Batman's incredible Rogues Gallery that included Mr. Freeze, The Penguin, Two-Face, The Riddler, Catwoman, Harley Quinn, and of course, The Joker. It also gave players the chance to experience what it feels to be in the shoes of The Dark Knight and hand out justice to all those confined in Arkham City.

Raising the Stakes

For the finale of the trilogy, Rocksteady raised the stakes with Batman: Arkham Knight. Serving as the conclusion to the Arkhamverse story arc, it has Scarecrow joined by the Arkham Knight, who makes his debut in the Batman universe, hanging the fate of Gotham City in the balance. Of course, the usual roster of DC Super-Villains is present, which include Firefly, The Riddler, Two-Face, The Penguin, and Harley Quinn.

The world's greatest detective though isn't alone to take on the bad guys, with his closest allies Alfred, Commissioner Gordon, Oracle, Lucius Fox, Catwoman, Robin, and Nightwing lending a hand.

The game then culminates in the ultimate showdown in Gotham City with players being introduced to the complete Batman experience. This is because they can access the Batmobile, fully drivable around the open game world. It can even transform from high-speed Pursuit Mode to military grade Battle Mode.
