The BAFTA 2022 Games Awards is only one month away and will be held on April 7. The organizers have revealed the nominees for 16 awards. Nominees for two more awards, Performer in a Leading Role and Performer in a Supporting Role, will be announced in the coming weeks.
The Game Awards 2021 GOTY Winner, It Takes Two, is nominated for eight awards including Best Game. PS5-exclusive, Returnal, is also nominated eight times. Both games are followed by Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart with seven nominations. Microsoft-published, Psychonauts 2 and Forza Horizon 5 are nominated for six awards each.

The nominees for the EE Game of the Year Award have also been revealed. This is the only award in which players can vote. The nominees are It Takes Two, Deathloop, Metroid Dread, The Forgotten City, Unpacking, and Chicory: A Colorful Tale. You can vote for the said award over here.
Last year, the BAFTA Game Awards was swept by the indie-title, Hades. That was unexpected because the nomination was led by Naughty Dog’s Magnum Opus, The Last of Us Part 2, which was nominated for 13 awards. TLOU2 did win EE GOTY though. We will love to see which games dominate this year’s award function.
