A pretty hefty patch has just dropped for Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. Title Update 1.5 adds a new difficulty mode and support for more controllers. The update also includes support for the upcoming expansion called Dawn of Ragnarök, launching on March 10.

Gameplay Changes

The Saga (Story) difficulty mode has been added. This mode allows you to write your own Viking Saga without worrying too much about the intricacies of Valhalla’s stealth and combat. When the game is set to this mode, enemies deal less damage and you’re given more time to perform stealth actions when being detected.

Aside from that, the developers have also added support for more gamepads on PC, particularly the Nintendo Switch Pro and Google Stadia controllers.

There are other noteworthy bug fixes as well. Have you encountered an issue where you could get stuck in any boss fight when using the Dive of the Valkyries as your finishing blow? This happens when you have the Night Rogue Set equipped. There’s nothing to worry about now with this issue addressed. In addition, the problem where you could lose all input after pressing semicolon (;) on your keyboard has been fixed.
