"Assassin's Creed Mirage" has been confirmed to have a DLC two years after its release date, and Ubisoft has now revealed more details regarding what to expect.

'Assassin's Creed Mirage' Free DLC Details Unveiled

Ubisoft has shared a new video that details the new expansion coming to its two-year-old video game, "Assassin's Creed Mirage," with the free DLC set to be known as the "Valley of Memories" DLC.

The developers are now giving players a chance to explore an all-new region in the world of "Mirage," and it is a place that is far away from the original game's setting.

The base game is set in 9th-century Baghdad, a city in the Middle East, where players get to explore the bustling urban region with impressive architecture and setting. Now, the new expansion will take users to a place called AlUla, and it is a region that is based on the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

According to ComicBook Gaming, Saudi Arabia is about 960 miles (1,500 kilometers) away from modern-day Baghdad, and in the game, it is also seen as a distant neighbor of the base title's setting. This means that it will feature almost the same themes, feels, and adventure for players in a sandy, dry, and scorched location.

AlUla will be a separate map from the original game's setting, and players should expect few urban environments and much rocky terrain. The new region would also pay homage to real-life historical sights found in the area.

Ubisoft Confirms Release Date, Information on DLC

It was revealed that the "Valley of Memories" expansion would take place before the final events of "Assassin's Creed Mirage," so this would technically not be a post-game content in terms of storyline. Basim will be on a quest to search for his father, Is'haq, who was revealed to still be alive and is in AlUla.

According to the game's creative director, Stéphane Boudon, Basim's journey to AlUla will give players more insight as to why he "chose the path that ultimately defines him." Ubisoft's team also revealed that they want to touch more on connecting Basim's father to the base "Mirage" game.

Ubisoft revealed that the "Valley of Memories" will take approximately six hours to complete, and it will also feature several side quests for players to enjoy. According to the team, the free DLC update also adds more features to the base game's experiences, including the ability to replay missions and bend the game's rules.

The "Assassin's Creed Mirage: Valley of Memories" is set to release on November 18 for all platforms, available for free to all users who have copies of the game.
