One of the most innovative Battle Royale games out there today, Apex Legends, is going to get bigger and better. Developer Respawn Entertainment announced during the EA Play Live 2020 that Apex Legends is finally coming to Steam. Soon you will be able to play the game on your favorite game store. However, the date wasn’t revealed just yet.

Apex Legends coming to Steam is no surprise, as this news was already confirmed a few months back. Plus, other games from EA like the Battlefield franchise, Titanfall 1, and Titanfall 2 were also released on Steam a few days ago.

That’s not all, as Apex Legends will also launch on Nintendo Switch. I don’t know how are they are going make it work, but I like it. Developers do not want to divide the Apex community. That’s why we are also getting full crossplay support between all platforms. This means that Xbox One, PlayStation 4, Origin, Steam, and Switch players will be able to play together. This will most definitely improve the longevity of the game. However, some console players might not like that due to the cheating problem on PC.

The online show also showed off the new event for Season 5. It’s called the Lost Treasure event and it offers some amazing weapon and legends skins. You can purchase them or grind them out for free. A new Mirage Heirloom is also available, which you can get by unlocking all 24 other cosmetic items that the event has to offer.

The Lost Treasure event also includes a limited-time game mode. It’s the fan-favorite Shotgun and Sniper only mode. Some tweaks have been made to make it more interesting. All the Respawn Beacons are removed, and instead every player will have a mobile respawn gadget in their inventory. Only the Evo shield will be available, as every other shield type will be removed. The Lost Treasure Event is now live on every platform.

So what do you think? Are you excited about the crossplay support? Did you like the new Mirage’s Heirloom? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
