Apex Legends is going to reveal details of the upcoming Season 2 during their EA PLAY livestream. This is set for June 8 at 1:00 p.m. EST.

So what can players expect for season 2? For one, Lead Product Manager Lee Horn said that Respawn has improved the Grid. For Season 2, players are given the chance to complete a combination of Daily and Weekly Challenges in order to level up their Battle Pass. For those who miss a few weeks, there's no need to worry, as the Weekly Challenges are going to be there once they return, and players are allowed to complete them all at the same time.

Horn added that Respawn does not want "to introduce wacky challenges that drastically warp the way you play the game, these challenges should provide some interesting variation from game-to-game." Instead, players should be able to feel faster Battle Pass progression in a more interesting and fun manner. This should also allow players just a few hours a week of playing in order to progress well into their Battle Pass.

Rather than Voice Lines, players are now rewarded with Crafting Metal. What this means is that players should be able to earn enough Crafting Metals in order to craft the Legendary item that they want. However, players can continue to get Crafting Metals from the different rewards in the Battle Pass. This means that whatever Legendary item you have had your eye on, there is a big chance you may be able to get it during Season 2.

If that's not enough to make you excited, then prepare for more. Horn also revealed that three Legendary items will be added to the Battle Pass. Thus, a Legendary item in now available for every 25 Battle Pass Levels under the premium track. This means major rewards are included at level 1, level 25, level 50, level 75, and level 100. This was done in order to give players a good balance of excellent character exclusives and cosmetics for everyone. At level 100, players will be rewarded with an evolving weapon skin. For those who manage to reach level 110, they get a special recolor version of that weapon skin.

For Season 2, the basic stat trackers and badges were removed from the premium Battle Pass. However players can still get the season badge. This time around it is a single and evolving badge that no longer uses additional reward slots. The season win trackers are still available in the free path and are earnable in the first 10 levels.

In place of badges or trackers, premium Battle Pass holders now earn items from three new content categories. More details on these categories are to be revealed on the days leading to Season 2.

So are you excited year for Season 2?
