Marvel fans are finally getting one of the most requested additions to the popular living card game "Marvel Champions."
Fantasy Flight Games officially announced that Daredevil will join the game as part of the upcoming "Fear No Evil" expansion, bringing the iconic street-level hero into the growing roster of playable characters.
The reveal continues Daredevil's steady rise in popularity over the last decade, driven heavily by Charlie Cox's acclaimed portrayal of Matt Murdock in both Netflix and Disney television adaptations.
Daredevil's Popularity Extends Beyond Comics
Although Daredevil has long maintained a dedicated comic book fanbase, the live-action series introduced the character to a much wider audience.
According to ScreenRant, fans connected with Matt Murdock's moral struggles, brutal fighting style, and grounded storytelling, helping him become one of Marvel's most respected heroes outside the traditional Avengers lineup.
Unlike many larger-than-life superheroes, Daredevil's appeal often comes from his human side. His work as a lawyer, personal conflicts, and emotional complexity have helped the character remain popular across comics, streaming series, and now tabletop gaming.
'Fear No Evil' Expansion Focuses on Street-Level Heroes
Fantasy Flight Games confirmed that Daredevil will debut in "Marvel Champions" through the "Fear No Evil" expansion scheduled for release in July. The box set will also introduce Echo as a playable hero alongside six villain scenarios centered around Kingpin and his criminal empire.
As ComicBook confirms, players will battle several iconic Marvel villains, including Bullseye, Purple Man, Typhoid Mary, and Hammerhead.
"Marvel Champions" supports both solo play and cooperative multiplayer sessions for up to four players using customizable decks and modular gameplay systems.
Unlike traditional trading card games that rely on randomized booster packs, "Marvel Champions" uses fixed card sets. This allows players to access complete expansions without relying on chance-based purchases.
More Defenders Heroes Planned for Future Releases
The "Fear No Evil" expansion marks the beginning of a larger Street Level content wave planned for Marvel Champions. Fantasy Flight Games also confirmed upcoming hero packs featuring Jessica Jones and Luke Cage later this year.
Additional expansions focused on Daredevil, Elektra, and Iron Fist are also currently in development, signaling a major push toward Defenders-related content within the "Marvel Champions" lineup.
