Developer Cold Iron Studios has deployed a new patch for Aliens: Fireteam Elite that introduced some pretty good changes to the Doc class. The devs have implemented some fixes as well, including a fix for the Doc’s Trauma Station ability where the energy bar may display inaccurate values, among many others.

Doc Class Improvements

Every fireteam in Aliens should consist of a Doc. That is because they have interesting abilities that will definitely serve the entire team.

The latest update has improved the Trauma Station as you can now gain energy for the mobile medic whenever any teammate picks up an Aid Kit. Back then, the Doc should be the only one to get those kits to recharge the station, but this change will certainly be favorable for the party. If there are two Docs in the team, the energy will be split accordingly.

Another important change to the Trauma Station is that when you use its Ability Replacers, like the Suppression station and Painkiller Station, you will no longer need energy to deploy them.

Lastly, the HUD will now present you with a notification to show how much energy has been replenished after picking up an Aid Kit. This should make it easier for you to find out if your Trauma Station has been fully recharged or not.

Patch Highlights

  • The Doc’s “Field Medic” Perk and its related Perks have had their range increased to 7 meters (previously 6 meters)
  • The Demolisher’s “Rampage” Perk should now work correctly with flamethrowers
  • Fixed an issue with Special Ammo Consumables where they could be erroneously applied to the N79 EVA Laser Pistol. Attempting to do so will now display a message informing you that Special Ammo is not available for this weapon
  • Fixed a number of places in the game where players could get stuck in the world geometry
  • Fixed a number of places in the game where players could traverse, but enemies could not reach them
  • Fixed a situation where the Doc’s UI for the “Trauma Station” Ability’s energy bar could display an inaccurate value
  • Fixed a situation where kills with flamethrowers would not be counted towards the progress of a Tactical Opportunity
  • Intel items should now be able to be properly pinged with the correct message

Aliens: Fireteam Elite Patch is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, and PC.
