Hotfix v0.7.1 for the brutal real-time strategy game Age of Darkness: Final Stand is now available. Although this is only a minor patch, it is quite welcome due to the quality-of-life improvements it brings.

The Watchtower was added to Age of Darkness: Final Stand as a means of helping players know the location of the next “Death Night” wave so that they can prepare accordingly. In Hotfix v0.7.1, this structure has new functionality that indicates the direction of the closest unrevealed Point of Interest (POI) regardless of distance. This happens in between Death Nights.

A Point of Interest in Age of Darkness: Final Stand is an area rich in resources. Players can capture this by defeating enemies called Nightmares that guard the area. Claiming a POI is vital to the players’ survival, especially for those who need more resources to complete structures, train units, and purchase upgrades.

Hotfix v0.7.1 implements a bunch of balancing changes and improvements as well, and you can read them below:

Additional Changes
  • Improvements to the collision to fix Nightmares stacking during Death Nights
  • Watchtower Radius changes color if overlapping with another Watchtower
Balancing
  • Changed the Arbalest attack time to 5.3 seconds to reflect v0.6.2 stats
  • Changed the Arbalest Range to 6 to reflect v0.6.2 stats
  • Changed Sentinel Gold and Iron costs to reflect v0.6.2 costs
  • Reduced the Archer range to 3 to reflect v0.6.2 stats
  • Changed Fire Sconce Wood cost to 50
  • Changed Grand Ballista Tower Iron cost to 75
  • Changed the resource value of the Farm to 0.31 per tile
  • Changed the resource value of the Refined Farm to 0.60
  • Changed the gold upkeep for the Farm to 16
Other Fixes and Changes
  • Fixed an issue where the Hero is respawning at The Keep when dying within the Triage Tent radius
  • Fixed an issue where the first arrow fired by an Archer is a fire arrow regardless of the Skill being purchased
  • Fixed an issue where Archers would disappear if a garrisoned Tower was sold
  • Fixed an issue where Farms were providing the incorrect amount of food per tile
  • Fixed an issue where food resources decrease incorrectly when building a House in a Farms radius
  • Fixed an issue where Tier 1 Nightmares appear in every Death Night
  • Fixed an issue where the Day/Night Timer was incorrect after loading a save file
  • Fixed an issue where Resource progress bars do not increase after loading a save file
  • Fixed an issue where the Trade Bazaar resource stockpile increases when the game is paused
