It's a good day for fans of comic-book style video games, because XIII is getting some much-deserved attention in the form of a remake.

The remake will be handled and developed by PlayMagic, while publishing is expected to be done by French publishing Microïds. You can check out the trailer for this stunningly stylish piece of art below.

The game is based on the graphic novel series of the same name and follows the story of Thirteen, an amnesiac soldier accused of killing the President of the United States. It's a tried-and-tested conspiracy thriller that plays it smart by revolving key aspects of the game around Thirteen's search for clues for who he is using tattoos.

"The PlayMagic team is very excited for the opportunity to remake a true classic; modernizing the graphics, sound and animations while remaining faithful to the original XIII's incredible look and feel," Declares Giuseppe Crugliano, CEO and Creative Director at PlayMagic Ltd, said in a press statement. "XIII's gameplay mechanics are being reworked in an effort to modernize the experience in a way that encompasses the original spirit of the game. We are sure that the fans of the original game will love rediscovering one of their all-time favorites while new players discover a truly iconic masterpiece in a new light."

The game has somewhat of a cult following, so it will be very exciting to see if this remake can hold its own against the original. XIII is set to be released on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC and Mac on November 13.
