Xbox Live Gold is an online gaming subscription for Microsoft Xbox 360 and Xbox One consoles. The subscription allows players to play online, party with friends, and get access to free games every month. Recently, Microsoft revealed something big for players who want to play using online features exclusively available on the paid subscription.

The latest Insider update is currently testing a new feature that lets Omega users join multiplayer, look for groups, and party chat without the Gold service. This is a huge deal for those who want to hop on and play games with their friends regardless of their subscription level.

However, there are some issues with titles like Destiny 2 and Call Of Duty: Warzone because they used to be paid games or add-ons at one point. Microsoft is working with developers to fix the issues and will roll out an update in due time. If you find any games that don't allow you to play without the Gold subscription, provided you got the new Insider update, you can report your issues here.

This update is likely one of the biggest changes for the Xbox experience since formerly Gold-exclusive services are now free. The update rolled out on Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S, and Xbox One on April 12 at 4 p.m. PT. You can check your console for its availability.

How to Find Support for Xbox Insider Program

If you have any issues with the Insider Program and want some help, you can head towards the official subreddit and post your issues. The issues will be accepted and reviewed by official Xbox staff, moderators, and other Insider members. Before you post issues, ensure that the topic hasn’t already been addressed by going through the recent posts.

So, what are your thoughts on the new feature? Are you excited about the change? Personally, I think it’s a really good step as more players will be able to access more services without a paywall.
