Xbox Game Pass has been quite a success over the last few months. Every month, several games are regularly rotated in and out of the subscription service. This month is no different. May will bring some great additions to the pass, including big titles such as Red Dead Redemption 2 and Day Z. However, it will also lose some pretty good games.

For Console, Xbox Game Pass owners will be able to play Red Dead Redemption 2 and Day Z without any extra cost. Other big games that are joining the pass are Final Fantasy IX (May 14) and Fractured Minds (May 19). PC Players will get Final Fantasy IX as well, along with Endless Legends and Halo 2. Halo 2 is the third game in the Master Chief Collection and marks the halfway point of the series' jump to PC. The other games still waiting for a PC port in the collection are Halo 3, ODST, and Halo 4.

Unfortunately, it’s not all good news. Game Pass is also losing several games. The most important title is GTA 5, which was removed today. At least we got RDR2 in its place. Other titles like Doom (2016), Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus, and Rise of the Tomb Raider will also be removed. However, if you want to keep these games, then you can purchase them and they won’t leave your library. There is also a 20 percent membership discount going on right now if you do choose to buy any game included in Game Pass.

Below is the list of all the games that are leaving the Xbox Game Pass this month.

CONSOLE

May 7

  • Grand Theft Auto V

May 15

  • Black Desert
  • Doom
  • Lego Ninjago Movie Video Game
  • Mega Man Legacy Collection 2

  • Wolfenstein II: The New Colossus

PC

Overall, this month doesn’t look that good for Xbox. Many games left the Game Pass and only a few games are here to replace them.

So what do you think? Are you interested in any of these new games that are coming to Xbox Game Pass? Do you think Xbox should try to retain more games for their subscirption service? Let us know your thoughts in the comments section below.
