Wreck-It Ralph is the best videogame movie of all time. Combining childhood nostalgia for 80s arcade games with compelling characters and a great story, Wreck-It Ralph brought life back to Disney’s animation studio when it was released in 2012. Disney just announced on a Facebook Live stream we are finally getting a sequel, slated for release on March 9, 2018.

Rich Moore, the director of the first film, and Phil Johnston, who co-wrote Wreck-It Ralph and Zootopia, will be directing Ralph’s adventures this time around. John C. Reilly, voice of Ralph, came on the stream to announce that Ralph is moving from the arcade straight to the internet. We got to see concept art featuring spoofs of established tech giants like Amazon and Google.

Sarah Silverman will reprise her role as Vanellope Von Schweetz (and will hopefully at least acknowledge Kanye West calling himself a “glitch.”)

If Wreck-It Ralph 2 is anything like its predecessor or Disney Animation Studios’ last movie, Zootopia , we should be in for a real treat. Disney has really evolved its CGI features since Bolt, a movie about a dog with about as much nuance as an episode of Bubble Guppies.

I hope you’re ready to watch Ralph wreck the internet and make some terrible internet puns, because I sure am.
