At long last, CD Projekt Red has confirmed the release date for Blood and Wine , the final add-on for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt . And it turns out the game’s next expansion will be available for purchase (and download) before the end of the month. Just a few hours later than we originally expected.

Over the weekend, rumors began to spread that The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine would debut on May 30, thanks to screenshots of a Steam listing that was pulled down moments later. But there was no word from CD Projekt Red on the matter. No new screenshots. No new trailers. Not even a statement on the rumors. Thankfully, for everyone anxious to get their hands on the next Witcher 3 DLC, the studio’s silence didn’t last long

On Tuesday, CD Projekt Red published a new teaser trailer for The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine , featuring some of the new people and places we’ll visit in the game’s next expansion. For those who aren’t familiar, Blood and Wine will send players to the land of Toussaint, a place that CD Projekt Red describes as “a remote land untouched by war.” The new expansion sees Geralt hunting down the monster(s) who’ve been attacking residents of the kingdom and will apparently include 30+ hours of content -- according to the YouTube description for this week’s trailer -- instead of the previously reported 20. We even got a release date: May 31.

For a sneak peek at the next round of DLC for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt , take a minute to watch the new Blood and Wine teaser trailer published on Tuesday morning. Then head down to the comments section and let us know if you’re planning to buy the second Witcher 3 expansion when it heads to PC and consoles later this month.

The Witcher 3: Blood and Wine is in development for PS4, Xbox One and PC. The game’s next expansion debuts May 31.
