After months of waiting, we finally got more details about Watch Dogs Legion. Yesterday, Ubisoft Forward, Ubisoft's E3 stand-in show, took place and it started with a bang. The company began the main show with the Watch Dogs Legion - Tipping Point cinematic trailer, and it looked amazing. I was definitely getting some Spider-Verse vibes. It seems like this time around, Watch Dogs is going to be a little darker. The trailer begins with a re-imagination of the famous poem ‘First They Came’ which was written in Germany during World War 2. It makes sense to use this poem as the fictionalized version of London, where the game takes place, has fallen under tyranny.
Ubisoft also shed more light on the game’s mechanics. As revealed during the E3 2019, you can play as any character you want, as long as they are in your resistance group. Each character will have their own set of skills and detailed personal lives. Your character will be permanently lost if he/she happens to die during the game. You can add construction workers, police, hackers, old grannies, and even a John-Wick lookalike to your resistance. I just want to know if Queen Elizabeth can be added or not. Looks like the delay paid off, as Watch Dogs Legion is looking ridiculously good graphics-wise. But we've been fooled by Watch Dogs trailers in the past. The game also seems more polished than the E3 2019 demo. Legion will be available on both next-gen and current-gen consoles. The game will launch on October 29 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, and Stadia. The PS5 and Series X ports will come at a later date. Xbox players will get a free Smart Delivery upgrade, which means that if you bought the game on Xbox One, you can play it on Series X for free.
That’s not all, as pre-ordering is now also live. You can pre-order the game on both Uplay and the Epic Games Store. Buying the game early will give you access to the Golden King Pack. The following Pack includes:
- The Uneasy Lies mask
- The Serpent Sisters Weapons skin
- The Lux Car skin
