Missed the chance to get some specific Prime gears in Warframe? Well, don’t worry because Prime Resurgence is back and it’s here to stay. As a result of this change, the Prime Vault is now closed forever.

Prime Resurgence in Warframe, for those who don’t know, used to be a limited-time event where players were given the chance to acquire pretty rare stuff, including Prime Warframes and Prime gears that they were not able to get the first time.

Developer Digital Extremes launched Prime Resurgence as an alternative to the company’s Prime Vault program to address some of the said program’s major pain points. After the event’s successful conclusion, and after reviewing player feedback, DE decided to permanently replace Prime Vault for good.

That said, some changes are made to improve Prime Resurgence. For one, the rotation length between Prime sets has been increased. Back then, the event lasted for only a week. The community had agreed that this was too short a window to earn everything they needed from that rotation. This prompted DE to increase the rotation length to roughly a month each.

Another major change is that Aya, the currency used to buy Void Relics and some cosmetics from Varzia, can now be traded for Void Traces. For the uninitiated, Void Traces are a resource in Warframe normally found in Void Fissures. These can be used to create Dragon Keys or refine Void Relics. While they’re not rare, acquiring them requires a lot of time and dedication. So, being able to trade a single Aya for five Void Traces is a huge quality-of-life change for sure.

The new and improved Prime Resurgence still follows the same format as before, meaning that two Prime Warframes will be up for grabs in every rotation. The first debut rotation features Wukong and Equinox Prime. Players can head to Varzia Dax in Maroo’s Bazaar to gain access to these Prime items:

  • Zhuge Prime
  • Ninkondi Prime
  • Stradavar Prime
  • Tipedo Prime
  • Sanzang Prime Kubrow Bundle - Includes:
    • Nai-Zhen Kubrow Collar
    • Sanzang Prime Kubrow Armor
    • Derelict White
    • Tidal Blue
    • Corrupted Gold
    • Tang Prime Kubrow Fur Pattern
    • Incubator Segment
    • Nutrio Incubator Upgrade Segment
    • Kubrow Egg
    • Incubator Power Core
    • Genetic Code Template
  • Jindou Prime Syandana
  • Corposant Prime Ephemera

  • Wukong Prime Noggle
  • Equinox Prime Combined-Form Noggle

  • And Wukong and Equinox Prime Relics!

So, what can you say about the removal of the Prime Vault? Will you miss the program, or are you happy with the new and improved Prime Resurgence?
