Developer Gaijin Entertainment has launched a new patch for War Thunder to fix some bugs that affect the game’s realism. Update 2.13.0.154 also resolves another critical bug that causes unusual turret rotation for spectators.

Shooting Through Obstacles

War Thunder developers want the game to be as realistic as possible - both in visuals and mechanics. That said, there’s a bug that allows some tanks to damage enemies by shooting through obstacles, which is not an intended design.

You see, the game uses the breech mechanism. To make things simpler, the shell in any type of weapon in the game appears only in the breech part of the barrel. From there, the shell would be directed to the enemy. This mechanism was designed to prevent the possibility of hitting targets through impenetrable objects. Unfortunately, this was previously not the case as tanks were able to shoot at enemies when their gun barrels passed through thin walls.

This problem has been resolved and is no longer possible after applying the update.
