After the disaster that was The Walking Dead Season 6 finale, this year’s ending has to be on point, or fans will let their Twitter fingers run wild.
We don’t need another dumb cliffhanger. We don’t need a whole year of who the f*ck did Negan kill. We want action and good storytelling from The Walking Dead. Well, Morgan Jones actor Lennie James recently told ComicBook.com The Walking Dead Season 7 finale this year won’t be a huge disappointment.
"Well, for me there's two moments in the script where I jumped up and down like a giddy school boy," James said. "Not just at the excitement of being part of the scenes that I was reading, but just in how exciting it's going to be if we pull it off. Considering one of those points when I jumped up and down like a giddy school boy, I was on an airplane, you can get some kind of sense of just how into it I was and how exciting it must be, because I did attract a little bit more attention to myself than I'd intended.”
James continued, “It's an exciting episode in keeping with our tradition of leaving our fans with a bang in our season finales. The finale of Season 7 will not disappoint, it's a good one, it's a really good one. There are a couple of moments that are fantastic and genuinely, genuinely exciting. Even for someone as jaded as me."
James also told ComicBook.com the show really pulled off something fantastic for this year’s finale. Well, we hope the show saved money from its CGI budget for the finale, because we’re worried Shiva milked them dry. Did y’all catch the really bad deer from the Michonne and Rick episode? Or how bad Ezekiel’s tiger Shiva looked in the most recent episode?
Bad CGI aside, we hope the finale includes an epic Rick vs. Negan match to kick off the All Out War storyline. They’ve built up to it enough. We want to see the Rick who bit off a man’s neck to protect a kid! We want Michonne to grab a sniper rifle and start picking off Saviors! We want Rosita to get her shit together or die! We want Eugene back!
The Walking Dead Season 7 airs Sundays at 9 p.m. on AMC.
