Visions of Mana Launches on August 29 on PC and Consoles

A new adventure awaits you. Square Enix

Square Enix announced that Visions of Mana is coming out on August 29. This latest instalment to the Mana series is going to be available for the PC along with the PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, and the Xbox Series X/S.

Aside from the launch date, the studio also released a new trailer which shows the new playable characters as well as some of the gameplay features. You can watch it below:

Visions of Mana offers a new story and follows the journey of Val. He is the newly appointed soul guard and has been tasked with accompanying his childhood friend Hinna, who is the chosen alm, to the Tree of Mana. The game allows players create their very own three-person team while in battle and then switch between the five playable characters who, aside from Val, include Careena, Morley, Palamena, and Julei. Providing help from the side are Hinna, Ramcoh, and Aesh.

The Elemental Vessels

The new trailer actually introduces us to Palamena and Julei. These two characters are some of those who Val and Hinna befriend as they go on their journey in the vast world and reach the Tree of Mana. In addition to new characters, the new trailers also give us a look at some of the gameplay features.

One of these is the Elemental Vessels. These are mystical artifacts which house the power of the elements within them. By using Elemental Vessels, players can not only change classes but also gain new abilities during battles. Each character has their own specific class for each Elemental Vessle and players can even customize the time to allow for a more flexible and fast-paced fighting style.

Ring Menu

This upcoming title also marks the return of the series staple which is the in-battle Ring Menu. For those not familiar with the series, this allows players to pause combat and then be able to plan out their next move. There are also what's known as Elemental triggers which are found across the world. These are then used to unlock new places to explore and find hidden items on the map.

Travel Companions

By the way, it's also possible to sail the sea or soar above the clouds. This is all thanks to the travel companions Vuscav and Flammie. Summoning these trusty companions let players easily travel across the open waters and the world map.

Excited yet for this newest addition to the Mana series? Pre-orders for the game are now available on all platforms.
