Ubisoft announced that UPLAY+ subscribers from six countries are going to get something extra this month. A new rewards program is currently in beta that allows subscribers the chance to claim in-game rewards each month.

Starting February 4, the UPLAY+ rewards program is going to be available for these countries:

  • Australia
  • Denmark
  • Finland
  • New Zealand
  • Norway
  • Sweden

UPLAY+ subscribers from these countries are instantly enrolled and can immediately start claiming rewards. Ubisoft said that other countries are going to be added at a much later date.

Rewards System

Over time, subscribers are going to progress through the different reward tiers which offers more rewards the higher one goes. A player's starting tier is going to be based on the number of consecutive months UPLAY+ was used. In fact, the rewards program counts the number of subscribed months even before this beta was made available. The tiers are:

  • Bronze
    • 1st Month
    • 1 reward/month
  • Silver
    • 2nd/3rd Month
    • 2 rewards/month
  • Gold
    • 4th/5th/6th Month
    • 3 rewards/month
  • Platinum
    • 7th Month and beyond
    • 4 rewards/month

Players can redeem rewards through Uplay during the first Tuesday of each month. Players that cancel UPLAY+ are going to have their reward tier reset when they subscribe again. However, any rewards earned before canceling will stay. To claim the rewards, follow these steps:

  • Start Uplay
  • Access the UPLAY+ vault
  • Navigate to the Redeem tab
  • Select This Month's Rewards
  • Click on a reward you would like to redeem

Kolibri Games

Early this month, Ubisoft also announced that it had acquired 75% of Kolibri Games. Kolibri is best known for the idle games genre, with offerings like Idle Miner Tycoon.

In a statement, Ubisoft Mobile Executive Director Jean-Michel Detoc said that they "are strengthening our ‘idle’ games portfolio with the acquisition of Kolibri Games.” With Idle Miner Tycoon considered as one of the genre's leaders, Ubisoft said that are happy that "this great talented team, recognized for the longevity of their flagship title, is joining Ubisoft.”

Meanwhile, Co-Founder and Co-CEO of Kolibri Games, Daniel Stammler, shared that the studio is humbled to be invited to be part of Ubisoft, which itself "is a creative powerhouse and one of the strongest brands in the games industry."

With UPLAY+, subscribers can access new Ubisoft games, DLC, and an extensive back catalog of Ubisoft games on PC.
