Trials of Mana released a new trailer that gives players a preview of two of the six heroes in the game. Trials of Mana tells the story of six heroes who fight against the forces of evil threatening a world where Mana has been weakened. The game is scheduled to be released on April 24.

You can view the trailer below:

The trailer introduces Kevin, the heir to the throne of Ferolia, the Beast Kingdom, along with Charlotte, the Priest of Light Wendel’s granddaughter. Charlotte may be be a superstitious and scaredy-cat, but is on a mission to protect her friend.

Trials of Mana had already given a peek at the four other characters as well. There's Duran, a young swordsman from Valsena, and Angela, the rebellious princess of the Kingdom of Magicians, Altena. The remaining two are Riesz, the highborn Captain of Laurent’s Amazon Guard, and Hawkeye, the noble thief of the Nevarlan Thief Guild.

This new version of Trials of Mana is a reimagination of the classic 1995 game of the same name. The original release became famous in Japan due to the levels of replayability, a feature that remains in the upcoming version. The original was only introduced to the US last June as a part of the Collection of Mana.

In Trials of Mana, players choose a starting character from among the six listed above, along with two other characters. Depending on what characters players use, they get a different story that comes with its own scenarios.

There’s no question that the upcoming version is faithful to the original game, not only in spirit, but even in story. However, the new Trials of Mana offers something new to players, whether diehard fans or those new to the game. For instance, there's the colorful and beautiful graphics, along with full voice acting and cinematic story scenes. New as well is the battle system, which allows players to make use of fast and fluid attacks, positioning, and evasion.

Trials of Mana is available for pre-order for $49.99. You can pre-order through Amazon for the Nintendo Switch, Playstation 4, and PC.
