The monster-capturing, creature-collector game Temtem finally leaves Steam Early Access and is now live on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. There are a lot of things that players can expect in the full launch update. Read further to learn more.

What’s New?

Players will have a new endgame island to visit in Temtem called the Tamer’s Paradise. This new place holds six activities: the Archtamer’s Sanctum, DraftArena, GritArena, TemSafari, Evershifting Tower, and DigiLair.

A couple of new currencies have also been introduced in Update 1.0. The first new currency is simply called Feathers. Players can obtain a considerable amount of Feathers when engaging in activities found in Tamer’s Paradise, where they can be used to purchase endgame items, including Radars and Hotfixes.

The second new currency is called Nova. This can only be obtained by purchasing from the platform’s payment system. There are a few things that players should keep in mind. First, Novas are tied to the platform they were purchased in. So, if bought on Steam, it will only be available on the said platform. Second, players who have enabled cross-progression and play across more than one platform will have individual inventories of Novas. Third, Novas obtained from the new Tamer Pass are placed inside a shared inventory, which is usable on any platform.

It is worth mentioning that the game will use platform-linked Novas first since they’re more restrictive.

Update 1.0 also introduces the Temtem Premium Store. This is where players can purchase a range of new cosmetics using the aforementioned currencies. Take note that these cosmetics are not tradeable, so those thinking of getting them for profit may have to brainstorm other ways of earning money.

Last but not least, the Tamer Pass has been implemented in Update 1.0. This is the game's version of a Battle Pass, where players can gain experience to progress and earn cool cosmetic rewards. The Tamer Pass has Free and Premium tracks, and players can get 20 to 60 different rewards depending on the chosen track. While players can gain Tamer Pass XP as soon as they play the game, they won’t get the notification for it until they reach Omninesia. This is so that new players can finish the tutorial and not get distracted by Tamer Pass quests.

So, what can you say about the new features in Temtem?
