Legends S3 Mission & Supergirl S3 Villain To Be Revealed This Month

The CW is heavily gearing up for San Diego Comic Con later this month. We’ve broken down The Flash and Arrow synopses and now it’s time for Legends of Tomorrow and Supergirl. These last two are more straightforward, as CW tells us exactly what will be revealed at the convention.

For Supergirl, we will receive more information about the Season 3 villain, Reign. She’s a female villain played by Cloverfield actress Odette Annable. The storyline is straight from the Worldkiller arc, where five Worldkillers survive the demise of Krypton. She, along with other Worldkillers, are biological weapons created in Krypton, but she knows nothing of her origins so she is in search of her story and knows only Earth and Krypton have the answers. That’s why she and Supergirl come face to face.

"Ridding National City of Queen Rhea and her Daxamite army was a major win for Supergirl, but one that came at a significant cost, as Kara was forced to sacrifice her budding relationship with Mon-El. When Season 3 returns with all-new supercharged adventures this fall on The CW, Kara and team will come up against a new threat in the form of DC Worldkiller, Reign. Want to know more about Reign and what she has in store for the Girl of Steel? Join the series’ cast and creative team for a special video presentation, followed by a Q&A where they’ll discuss this hot topic and more!"

It’s also worth noting Floriana Lima is leaving the series in Season 3. She will appear in a couple episodes to somehow end her relationship with Alex Danvers before moving on to pursue other opportunities. It’s unclear if the writers knew Lima was leaving the series before the Season 2 finale aired because Alex asked Maggie to marry her. While we didn’t see the reaction, a ‘No,’ answer would certainly be a way to write her character off the show.

Legends of Tomorrow Season 3 premieres Oct. 10.

As for Legends of Tomorrow, we will find out the team’s new mission. It’s something called Anachronisms.

“After crash landing the Waverider in a version of 2017 Los Angeles where dinosaurs roam the streets and the skyline is adorned with London’s iconic Big Ben clock tower, the Legends were quick to realize that “we broke time.” Last year, the loveable band of misfit heroes traveled throughout the timeline fixing a series of Aberrations. This year, they’ll be turning the crazy up to 11, as a wave of Anachronisms turns history on its head, leaving the Legends responsible for piecing it back together. What is an Anachronism you ask? For the answer to that, and many other questions, join cast members Victor Garber, Brandon Routh, Dominic Purcell, Caity Lotz, Franz Drameh, Nick Zano, Maisie Richardson-Sellers and producers at their annual Comic-Con panel.”

The definition of anachronism is a thing belonging to a time period other than that in which it exists. In other word, something that is an a time period of which it does not belong, or like events in time that are not in synch with each other. That definitely sounds like an absurd problem for the Legends to solve.

What do you think of the two synopses? Let us know in the comments and stay tuned for DCTV updates out of San Diego Comic Con later this month.
