Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order received a title update yesterday, but was only for next-gen consoles. It improves the game’s frame rate, post-processing resolution, and dynamic resolution range. Unfortunately, no new content was added.

The frame rate on Xbox Series S is increased to 60 from the previous 45. No changes to either post-processing resolution or DSR were made. Xbox Series X, however, gets two different modes: performance mode, and normal mode.

In performance mode, the game will run on 60 FPS and the Dynamic resolution range is set from 1080p to 1440p. In normal mode, the post-processing resolution of the game is increased to 4K while DSR from 1512p to 2160p.

Things are a little different for PlayStation 5. The game’s frame rate is increased to 60 but DSR has been completely removed. The game will now render at a static 1200p resolution. Though, post-processing resolution is increased to 1440p.

High-Level Summary of Features:

  • Improved framerate on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
  • Improved dynamic resolution ranges, for a higher resolution experience on Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5.
  • Improved post-processing resolution for Xbox Series X and PS5. (Not Xbox Series S).

  • Dynamic resolution has been disabled and the game is rendering at 1200p (up from 810-1080p).

The patch notes are mentioned on the official site as well.

If EA wishes, then we might get additional content for the game. Fallen Order received free post-launch content back in 2020. There were further rumors that additional content is also planned. Who knows, maybe we will get the new content on Star Wars day, which is on May 4.
