Square Enix Presents: Marvel’s Avengers Reveals 2021 Roadmap

During the Square Enix Presents event, Marvel’s Avengers revealed its official roadmap for 2021. The community has long been asking about this and the delay in releasing the information was due to making sure that everything's ready. However, the development team reminded everyone that the roadmap doesn’t show everything planned for release.

One piece of new content arriving this year is none other than the Black Panther. You can watch the official reveal trailer below:

For 2021, the team showed in a post that the goal is to offer players content that’s captivating to play and replay and being able to offer better rewards. Additionally, they wanted to expand on what the Avengers Initiative story has to offer. Finally, the team said that the roadmap gives everyone an idea of what to expect for the year but there could still be changes.

For the rest of the year, here’s what players can expect:

  • Tachyon Anomaly
    • Expected Release: Spring.
    • Details:
      • Play as any combination of Heroes.
      • Tachyon Missions scaled for Power Levels 1 to 100.
  • Red Room Takeover
    • Expected Release: Spring.
    • Details:
      • Enter the Red Room with the new themed HARM Room Content.
      • New Hero Outfits.
  • Cosmic Cube
    • Expected Release: Summer and beyond.
    • Details:
      • New Scientist Supreme Villain Sector.
      • Confront the unchecked power of the Cosmic Cube.
  • Wasteland Patrol
    • Expected Release: Summer and beyond.
    • Details:
      • New War Zone Mission Type: Patrol Mode.
      • New War Zones and Assignments within the Wasteland Region.
  • War for Wakanda
    • Expected Release: Summer and beyond.
    • Details:
      • New Hero: Black Panther.
      • New Hero Outfits.
      • Power Level cap increase.
      • New Villains, including Klaw.
      • New Klaw Faction enemies.
      • New Story.
      • New Wakandan Jungle Biome.
      • New Outpost.
  • Additional Content and Features
    • Omega–Level Threat Missions.
    • Multiplayer Megahives.
    • Post-Level 50 Progression.
    • Outfits inspired by the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
  • Ongoing Improvements
    • Balance Tuning.
    • Gear and Progression.
    • Collection Comics System.
    • Matchmaking.

The team added that these are all simply the beginning of their future plans. More details are set to be released over the next few months. Though the team hopes that the roadmap presented shows what’s being planned and currently in development.
