Songbird Symphony, the musical adventure game from publisher PQube, will come out with a physical edition for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in September and November in Europe and North America, respectively. Currently, the game is available digitally for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam when it launched on July 25.

Songbird Symphony tells the story of an orphaned chick named Birb and his musical journey to discover his real roots and the meaning of family. As an orphaned chick with his black and white appearance, he can’t help but always feel out of place as he is raised by a family of the most colorful peacocks. As he attempts to discover who he really is, he will go through the most magical journey with the help of the most peculiar cast of characters such as the wise Owl, his foster parent Uncle Pea, and Egbert, who is 50% egg, 50% bird, 100% friend to Birb.

The gameplay mostly revolves around platforming, littered with musical elements incorporated to its gameplay. Boss fights, puzzles, and enemies can be overcome through multiple ways including rhythm battles. Collectibles are also present inside the magical world such as hidden areas and dropped feathers that you can return to each owner to discover a myriad of secrets that explain more about the world’s lore.

Developed by Singapore based Joysteak Studios, Songbird Symphony released to positive acclaim for the PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam. It is currently holding a Very Positive Rating on its Steam page, as well as an 80% Metacritic Score for the Switch and a 4.7 out of 5 stars on indie game marketplace itch.io.

The game’s physical version will launch for the PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch on September 20 for Europe. As for North America, the physical launch is a few weeks later on November 5. No price has been confirmed yet for the physical release, but it currently retails digitally for $16.99. For those not looking to commit yet to the musically inspired platformer, a demo is available for download on all aforementioned marketplaces.
