The Sims 4: Vampires release date is Jan. 24 and we have an early taste of what to expect from the new game pack. For anyone on the fence about the Vampire life state, you’ll be happy to know The Sims team was very generous with items for this pack, in build mode especially, including tons of new wallpapers, carpets, wood flooring and brick patterns.

In Create-A-Sim, you’ll notice a few changes. Adding a Vampire is similar to adding an Alien, just make sure to select the Vampire icon from the ‘add a sim’ dropdown. There's a second Vampire icon above your Sim's thumbnail that will allow you to customize a Vampire dark form and light form. The Sim will always switch into dark form before doing Vampire tricks, so make sure to only choose one form or customize both.

Choose a creepy facial archetype, if you want one, and then move onto one of the five new hairstyles. To make your Sim look old and decrepit, use some of the facial accents like scars, fangs, slanted eyebrows and deep eye sockets. Vampires have a few exclusive full-body looks, such as a vampire trenchcoat and a floor-length slitted gothic dress with a choker necklace.

There are also three new aspirations to select specifically for Vampires in CAS:

Master Vampire – This Sim wants to become a wise and powerful Vampire!

Vampire Family – This Sim wants to create a family of Vampires!

Good Vampire – This Sim wants to control his/her Thirst and remain as human as possible!
